Armidale High School Maths Faculty
Students at Armidale High School learn about numbers, shapes and patterns in their Mathematics lessons. They follow the BOS syllabus and achieve a RoSA grade in Year 10 and in Year 11. Those that complete the BOS course in Year 12 receive a HSC mark.
The Mathematics staff at AHS incorporate real world problems and applications of technology into the study of Mathematics.

Three of our Year 8 students, Juliet Knuckey, Rachael Calliess, and Steph Hancock have won an award in the "Choose Maths" awards. This is a national competition for high school maths students where they are asked to create a video about Maths in everyday life.
Our students have won a prize and have been invited to the awards ceremony in Melbourne on the 26th August where they will find out if they they have placed first or highly commended in their category.
