Gathering for the WalkthroughSinging the school song

and singing the school song- about 90 ex-students (including 8 School Captains) returned to the School; 130 gathered at the Dinner at the Regency Motel (on the site of the Church of England War Memorial Hostel.)

A reunion hasHostel badgebeen planned for all ex-boarders of the hostel on the weekend of 27 - 28 February, 2015.

Plans at present are underway to contact as many of the 'old girls' as possible. Everyone can help by contacting those who thet may still be in touch with. An email address, phone number and snail mail address or family contact person can be passed on to the organisers. At this stage numbers are great and enthusiasm very encouraging.

The hostel was opened in 1921 and closed in 1971. A spean of fifty years. So many girls passed through its doors. Various Matrons and Sub-Matrons were in charge over this period. A list is being compiled, help is needed to do this. It is desired that, if you haveold photographs relating to the hostel, that you scan them if possible and send to Joyce Bryant by CDRom. If unable to get them copied please contact Joyce.

The reunion dinner will take place at the Regency Motel, which now stands on the old hostel site. The Regency has excellent accommodation with various room combinations. They have offered discount rates and early arrival time for our group. If booking, ask about ground floor rooms if required. Ask, too, about bath/shower facilities, because some rooms have a shower over a deep bath which could be a problem. Book directly with the motel...Phone 02 6772 9800.
